ClickBank Profit Challenge Update #4: You Got the Click—Now What?

ClickBank Profit Challenge Update #4: You Got the Click—Now What?

Getting someone to click your link feels like a victory.

But during my ClickBank Profit Challenge journey, I’m learning that the click is only the beginning.

You can spend time and money getting visitors from solo ads, mailers, traffic exchanges, search engines, social media or other advertising sources.

But then comes the important question:

What Happens After They Click?

For a long time, I thought getting more clicks was one of the main answers to affiliate marketing.

Now I’m looking at it differently.

A visitor clicks an advertisement and arrives at your website.

What do they see next?

Do they immediately see another sales pitch?

Or do they find useful information that gives them a reason to stay, read and learn more?

That is one reason I am building Spare Time Profit around content instead of simply sending every visitor directly to an affiliate sales page.

I’m Building a Better Path

Instead of:

Advertisement → Affiliate Link → Sales Page → Goodbye

I want to build:

Advertisement → Spare Time Profit → Helpful Content → Trust → Relevant Offer → Follow-Up

That’s a major difference.

Even when someone doesn’t buy today, I want my website to give that person a reason to remember Spare Time Profit.

The Click Isn’t the Customer

This has been an important lesson for me.

A click doesn’t automatically mean somebody is ready to buy.

The visitor may be:

  • Curious
  • Comparing opportunities
  • Looking for information
  • Completely new to affiliate marketing
  • Interested but not ready yet

That’s why I don’t want to judge every advertisement only by immediate sales.

I also want to know:

Did people visit?

Did they read the article?

Did they click another page?

Did they investigate the offer?

Did they come back?

Those actions can tell us much more about whether we’re attracting the right people.

Why This Matters for Beginners and Retirees

If you’re a beginner—or a retiree like me trying to build something useful in your spare time—you probably don’t have an unlimited advertising budget.

Neither do I.

That means we have to make our traffic work harder.

Instead of constantly buying more visitors, I’m working on making SpareTimeProfit.com better for the visitors I already receive.

Better articles.

Clearer links.

Better follow-up.

Better tracking.

And most importantly, useful information before asking someone to buy something.

My ClickBank Profit Challenge Journey Continues

I’m documenting these lessons because I know I’m not the only person who has wondered:

“Why am I getting clicks but not getting enough results?”

Sometimes the answer may not be getting more traffic.

The answer may be improving what happens after the traffic arrives.

That’s what I’m working on now.

The 3-Day Live ClickBank Profit Challenge is scheduled for October 6–8, and I’ll continue sharing what I’m learning before, during and after the live training.
